John P. Holdren is a scientist studying the causes and consequences of global environmental change; energy, climate, science, and technology policy; nuclear arms control; and international cooperation in science and technology. He served as a science advisor to Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama and directed the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) during Obama’s presidency.
